Fred McFeely Rogers (commonly known as Mr. Rogers) [born March 20, 1928; age 87] is an American children's television icon. He is most famous for the children's television program, Mister Rogers' Neighborhood from 1968-2001.


Mr. Rogers was born in 1928.


Back in 1984, Elmo from Sesame Street made an apperance on the PBS Kids show, "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood". Elmo once played an hour-long tape of Weird Al Yankovic songs, (including the hit single Elmo's Got a Gun), and Mr. Rogers got so angry at Elmo and he was dropped from the show after the episode ended.
